About the Role
Join zerohash as a Settlement and Trading Operations Engineer and help drive the efficiency of our global value transfer infrastructure. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a few years of experience who enjoys combining financial operations with technical problem-solving. You will play a key part in ensuring our digital asset and fiat transactions move seamlessly while using your technical skills to improve our daily workflows.Note: Please submit your CV in English.
Responsibilities
- Daily Settlement Execution: Oversee and manage the end-to-end processing of crypto and fiat transfers, ensuring all transactions are finalized accurately and on time.
- Data Reconciliations: Perform frequent checks between internal records and external statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies or "breaks" in account balances.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate failed transfers or mismatched data by querying databases and reviewing transaction logs to find the root cause of issues.
- Workflow Automation: Use basic scripting (e.g., Python or Excel macros) to automate repetitive manual reconciliation tasks and increase operational speed.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate recurring reports and dashboards to track transaction health, settlement volume, and operational performance for leadership.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to test new features and provide feedback on internal settlement tools.
- Client Support: Serve as a technical point of contact for institutional clients to help resolve transaction inquiries quickly and effectively.
Requirements
- Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in financial operations, payments, or a related back-office settlement role.
- Technical Familiarity: Basic proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages to help with data manipulation and automation.
- SQL Knowledge: Ability to write basic SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from internal databases.
- API Basics: Familiarity with how APIs work (e.g., using Postman to check transaction statuses) is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: A track record of high accuracy in transactional environments where precision is critical.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Communication: Strong ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
