The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and technical quality of contractor estimates within the insurance and property reconstruction industry. This position requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with 3-5 years of experience in property insurance adjusting, claims handling, or quality assurance, with expertise in Xactimate and XactAnalysis or Symbility and Mitigate, and water mitigation processes.
The Quality Assurance Specialist will review contractor estimates (Residential and Commercial) for property damage repairs, water mitigation, and mold remediation, ensuring adherence to insurance carrier guidelines and industry best practices. A strong technical background in insurance adjusting, property reconstruction, and water mitigation is essential, along with IICRC and WRT certifications. This role demands the ability to collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and insurance carriers to optimize the estimate review process and drive compliance with program standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Estimate Review & Compliance- Thoroughly analyze contractor estimates for property damage repairs, water mitigation, and mold remediation to ensure compliance with insurance carrier guidelines and industry standards.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inaccuracies and coordinate with contractors and internal stakeholders to rectify issues.
- Validate scope accuracy to confirm appropriate materials, labor, and pricing align with Xactimate guidelines and carrier expectations.
- Ensure compliance with IICRC water mitigation standards and industry best practices for restoration projects.
- Conduct comprehensive quality assurance checks on contractor submissions, ensuring estimates meet Westhill Global's quality control benchmarks.
- Verify that all estimates comply with specified carrier and company guidelines, focusing on accurate mitigation, drying, and reconstruction processes.
- Assess claim documentation, including photos, moisture mapping, and mitigation logs, to ensure thorough and compliant reporting.
- Stay updated on insurance policies, estimating trends, and regulatory changes impacting water mitigation and property reconstruction.
- Partner with contractors, internal teams, and insurance carriers to ensure clarity and alignment on estimate reviews and compliance expectations.
- Provide technical guidance to contractors on estimate improvements, compliance issues, and Xactimate best practices.
- Work cross-functionally with the Contractor Performance, Customer Experience, Training, and Onboarding teams to uphold quality standards and drive performance improvements.
- Use data and reporting tools to track contractor estimate accuracy and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain detailed records of all reviewed estimates, including modifications, compliance issues, and performance trends.
- Utilize data analytics tools to identify patterns in contractor performance and provide insights for process enhancements.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve estimate accuracy, claim turnaround times, and contractor efficiency.
- 3-5 years of experience in property insurance claims, adjusting, or quality assurance.
- Strong background in reviewing Residential and/or Commercial property damage repair estimates, including water mitigation and mold remediation.
- Expertise in Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Symbility, Mitigate, and industry-standard estimating practices.
- Hands-on experience with water damage restoration, structural drying, and reconstruction processes.
- Familiarity with insurance carrier policies, estimating best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience collaborating with contractors, insurance carriers, and internal QA teams.
- IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning, Restoration, and Certification)
- WRT - Water Restoration Technician
- ASD - Applied Structural Drying Technician
- CPT - Contents Processing Technician
- Additional certifications in mold remediation, fire damage restoration, or contents cleaning are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Technical proficiency with Verisk (Xactimate and XactAnalysis), with the ability to review and modify estimates effectively.
- Technical proficiency with CoreLogic (Symbilty and Mitigate), with the ability to review and modify estimates effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and ability to work with data reporting tools.
