VGS delivers a modern payments security solution that gives businesses ownership and control over critically valuable customer data, granting them maximum portability, operationally and value extraction to seamlessly drive expansion, and quickly build new financial products.
We are looking for a well-versed and passionate engineering manager to lead the Vault team, which is responsible for collecting, tokenizing and exchanging sensitive data. This position will directly report to the Head of Platform Engineering.

What you will be doing at VGS
- Collaborate with Product Management to define the product roadmap, and work closely with the engineering team to lead its execution.
- Work closely with program management to define quarterly roadmap, sprint plans, and provide regular program updates to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any dependencies and contribute to building a holistic product.
- Help senior leadership to execute on the product strategy.
- Engage in all phases of the software lifecycle- design, implement, test, deploy, and support services in production.
- Maintain a culture of code quality through rigorous testing, automation, and code reviews.
- Be proactive and innovative- we rely on your feedback to build a world-class product.
- Grow, mentor and develop a team of hardworking and motivated engineers.

What we are looking for from you (Requirements)
- 8+ years experience in engineering management and agile program management.
- Hands-on experience in software architecture, design and development in a Cloud SaaS environment.
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, microservices, CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Argo), GitOps, APIs and API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Kafka (MSK), Java, Spring Framework, Python, and AWS services.
- Strong experience in Observability solutions using Grafana, Honeycomb and Open Telemetry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $180,000 - $225,000 per year. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
