About the Role
RQD Clearing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent college graduate to join our Securities Lending Operations team to support our growing securities finance business. This role will be responsible for all daily operations activity related to securities lending including but not limited to borrow/loan returns, callbacks, contract compare reconciliation, recalls/buyins and balancing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate processing, matching, and settlement of securities lending and borrowing transactions.
- Perform daily mark-to-market of borrowed and loaned securities to ensure accurate pricing and position collateralization.
- Perform daily reconciliation of positions with internal systems and external counterparties; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Track and process corporate actions on loaned securities-including stock splits, name changes and mergers and acquisitions.
- Monitor and process security recalls and buy-ins initiated by trading desk and counterparties, ensuring timely communication and settlement to mitigate market and counterparty risk.
- Perform end-of-day balancing between Loanet and DTC to ensure books and records are accurate and in line with days activity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business related field
- Requires strong attention to detail with ability to process transactions with accuracy and timeliness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure effective and timely trade flow and settlement
- Advanced Excel skills
- Interest in financial markets and trading concepts
- Internship experience in financial services or operations a plus
Compensation
Base Salary: $70k plus discretionary bonus
