Our growth includes recent acquisitions of Stessa (financial and asset management software), RentPrep (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and Mynd (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors).

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Workforce Analyst to join our growing team. This role will be critical in managing our distributed and capacity-driven workforce, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet business demands while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workforce management principles, excellent analytical and communication skills, and experience with workforce management tools and technologies. This position reports to the VP of Strategic Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain workforce forecasts, incorporating historical data, seasonality trends, and business projections.
  • Create and manage staffing models, optimizing for capacity, role types, and market.
  • Monitor performance metrics, such as service levels, occupancy rates, and adherence to utilization rate targets, identifying areas for improvement and making necessary adjustments.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Operations, Data, Product Management, Finance, HR) to understand business needs and ensure alignment of workforce plans.
  • Collaborate with Product and Operational leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve workforce efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on workforce performance, including key metrics and insights.
  • Proactively identify and address potential staffing challenges.
  • Manage and maintain workforce data integrity, including review of employee business unit and department mappings.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of workforce management best practices.
  • Support ad-hoc requests for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in workforce management, preferably in a distributed or high-volume environment with 500+ FTEs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in workforce management modeling, including an understanding of capacity planning, seasonality, time series analysis, etc.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, macros).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the real estate industry and/or large B2C is a plus.
  • Experience with Bamboo HRIS and SQL or other database query languages (e.g., Snowflake, Sigma exposure) is a plus.

Location

This position is classified as HYBRID within the Greater Oakland Area, with an expectation to be in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly.

Compensation

$121,000 - $143,000on annual base salary. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.

Pay Transparency

Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only a part of our total compensation package.
