About the role
The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.
We're looking for a Disputes Legal Counsel in Brazil to focus on strategic mitigation of litigation and regulatory risk. You'll help with a wide range of issues, including supporting litigation, overseeing external dispute resolution mechanisms (such as the FOS), and providing internal strategic advice to key stakeholders.

What you'll be doing
- Identifying and managing litigation risk, while advising and supporting business functions on a wide variety of contentious legal and regulatory issues
- Keeping management up-to-date on litigation and contentious regulatory developments and strategy, and running internal fact-finding investigations
- Working on the timely and cost-effective resolution of contentious matters, including leading external dispute resolution correspondence
- Supporting the EDR team with overall strategy to mitigate liabilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and approving correspondence and court documents, and attending court hearings when necessary
- Managing outside counsel, and coordinating disclosure, including collection and production of materials
- Preparing comprehensive weekly litigation reports (on consumer, labour, and criminal matters), and summarising case developments, resolution outcomes, and strategic recommendations
- Managing daily judicial events (DJE) processes, and coordinating responses to court notifications and procedural requirements
- Supervising the team’s Paralegal in sending new cases to external law firms, and managing the collection of evidence to support the defence
- Processing and responding to dispute and pre-dispute tickets through internal case management systems (Jira)
What you'll need
- 5+ years of disputes experience at Brazilian law firms, focusing on civil, consumer, and labour disputes
- Valid registration with the Brazilian Bar Association
- To be located in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro
- Fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously, knowing when to ask the team for help
- A desire to contribute to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to make logical decisions under tight deadlines
- Flexibility and enthusiasm with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility for resolving issues
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple projects at once
