About the role
Our Compliance team blends regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to make sure our products meet legal and policy requirements and deliver real value to customers. In a fast-moving, digital environment, they stay one step ahead by finding smart, scalable ways to manage conduct risk.
We’re looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to help in setting, delivering, and embedding a data protection and privacy strategy across our expanding locations. You'll collaborate in a fast-paced environment to advance the adoption of our Group policy and risk and control frameworks in the region.

What you'll be doing
- Advising the business and reporting on data protection requirements, privacy program, and related controls in Peru, and monitoring compliance
- Developing and implementing a scalable data protection compliance program aligned with group standards and regulatory expectations, working in close partnership with the Group DPO
- Overseeing 1LoD's management of data protection and privacy risks and controls
- Monitoring changes in regulatory obligations, and identifying necessary controls to mitigate associated risks
- Creating and delivering local training to enhance data protection and privacy awareness in the region
- Monitoring how data subject rights requests are handled by the global DPO support team, and assisting with local responses
- Collaborating with the Group DPO on wider data protection initiatives
- Representing Revolut in front of key stakeholders, both internal (Legal, Risk, etc.) and external (regulators, advisors, vendors, partners, etc.), on data protection and privacy compliance matters
- Managing interactions with the ANPD
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Protection Officer in Peru, including direct engagement with the ANPD/SBS
- Deep knowledge of the Peruvian data protection landscape, market practices, and regulator expectations
- Excellent knowledge and practice of the Peruvian Data Protection Act and other relevant data protection laws, regulations, rules, and guidance
- A willingness and passion to develop knowledge and expertise in other related areas, such as wider data and AI governance
- A solid understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business risk
- A solution-oriented mindset that facilitates solving complex privacy and data protection problems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated sound judgement and analytical skills
- The ability to provide clear, concise, and timely advice when dealing with ambiguity
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- A background in large banks or high-growth fintech companies
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- A proven ability to work in a complex international environment
- Relevant data protection certifications (e.g., IAPP CIPP/E, CDPO/FR, or equivalent)
