About the role
Revolut is building the future of global banking — bold, borderless, and technology-first. As part of this mission, we’re establishing our new Western European banking entity, headquartered in Paris, and applying for a full French banking license to drive our next phase of regional growth. To make this happen, we’re looking for a world-class Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead the charge on risk for Western Europe.
As CRO of our French entity, you'll be a key member of the local Executive Committee, reporting directly to the CEO of Revolut Western Europe and the Group Head of Risk. You’ll take full responsibility for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive risk management framework that enables the safe and strategic growth of our operations in Western Europe, while aligning with Revolut Group's global standards.
This isn’t just a leadership role — it’s a builder’s role. You’ll need to balance hands-on work with strategic influence, whether you’re validating credit scorecards, shaping our ERMF, recruiting the Risk dream team, running stress tests, or engaging with senior regulators. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of Revolut Western Europe’s independent risk, ensuring proper governance and control are embedded across the business.
If you thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, have a passion for protecting customers and companies from risk, and know what it takes to establish a regulated banking function from the ground up — this is your role.

- Preparing internal and regulatory risk reports, including ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery & Resolution Plans
- Monitoring market risk trends and proactively advising business leadership on their implications
- Driving the localisation of Group risk policies and ensuring their relevance and effectiveness within the Western Europe markets
- Developing and embedding business continuity plans
- Managing ongoing assurance and readiness testing
What you'll need
- An Extensive experience leading risk functions in regulated retail banking environments
- Demonstrated ability to establish first or second line of defence frameworks from the ground up
- Excellent knowledge of French banking laws, regulatory frameworks, and supervisory expectations
- Deep understanding of credit, operational, and conduct risks within financial services
