About the role

The credit department at Revolut is anything but ordinary. They design, manage, and launch credit products from day one to the end — developing the back and front-end and data science infrastructure with scalable risk management and portfolio management solutions.

We're looking for a Head of Lending who'll be the go-to person on all things credit in New Zealand. You'll coordinate all stages necessary to achieve a successful product-market fit for our credit products, including scoping, implementation, testing, and growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing the strategy to launch credit products in New Zealand, including defining customer segment, pricing, positioning, and value proposition
  • Building New Zealand's Credit team and business from the ground up
  • Working with regulators to secure a lending licence and ensuring ongoing compliance
  • Owning the Credit P&L for NZ
  • Establishing external partnerships to set up the lending infrastructure with the credit bureau, debt collection partners, etc.
  • Working with Treasury on funding
  • Scoping all aspects of market requirements, including necessary features, legal and risk aspects, infrastructure and development effort, funding alternatives, etc.
  • Coordinating with the Product team to build an implementation plan and execute it
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in London and our global offices to execute go-to-market plans, launch marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Working with credit risk managers to set the credit risk strategy, test and learn to optimise results, and manage portfolio performance using dashboards
  • Working with the Operations team to streamline operations and deliver good customer experience

What you'll need

  • 8–12 years of experience with credit products
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills
  • A demonstrated track record of achievement
  • Impressive analytical skills to work with data
  • A never-settle, problem-solving mindset to solve customer problems and get things done
  • To be comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Natural curiosity and an interest in making an impact

Nice to have

  • Product management skills
  • Experience with NZ credit legislation
