What You’ll Do:
- Define and execute company-wide test automation strategies to ensure scalability, reliability, and quality across all products
- Play a critical role in influencing system design, and driving initiatives that improve the efficiency of our development lifecycle
- Define, track, and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, flakiness, execution time) to drive continuous improvement
- Optimize and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration of automated testing at every stage of development
- Mentor and guide other SDETs and software engineers, fostering a culture of quality, experimentation, and innovation.
- Guide the team in coding best practices and design patterns & coding standards
- Report, document, and track resolutions for software defects identified in the testing process using approved tools and processes
- Attend standups, business requirements and feature overview walkthroughs
- Collaborate with cross functional teams across the organization
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
- 6-7 years experience in test automation for complex systems
- Expert level in Cypress, PyTest, Postman for for UI, API & E2E testing
- Expert level in Typescript, Python
- Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch & drive adoption
- Experience using BDD to automate test cases in parallel with feature development
- Skilled at mentoring and driving cross-team adoption of QA best practices
- Familiarity with tools like Kibana & Grafana for tracking system performance
- Experience being a technical lead for the rest of the automation team
- Highly motivated, resilient and a tenacious passion for winning
- Strong analytical & debugging skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a SaaS fintech startup preferred
- Mortgage capital markets experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with AI/ML in test automation preferred
