What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute company-wide test automation strategies to ensure scalability, reliability, and quality across all products
  • Play a critical role in influencing system design, and driving initiatives that improve the efficiency of our development lifecycle
  • Define, track, and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, flakiness, execution time) to drive continuous improvement
  • Optimize and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration of automated testing at every stage of development
  • Mentor and guide other SDETs and software engineers, fostering a culture of quality, experimentation, and innovation.
  • Guide the team in coding best practices and design patterns & coding standards
  • Report, document, and track resolutions for software defects identified in the testing process using approved tools and processes
  • Attend standups, business requirements and feature overview walkthroughs
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams across the organization

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related discipline
  • 6-7 years experience in test automation for complex systems
  • Expert level in Cypress, PyTest, Postman for for UI, API & E2E testing
  • Expert level in Typescript, Python
  • Experience building test automation frameworks from scratch & drive adoption
  • Experience using BDD to automate test cases in parallel with feature development
  • Skilled at mentoring and driving cross-team adoption of QA best practices
  • Familiarity with tools like Kibana & Grafana for tracking system performance
  • Experience being a technical lead for the rest of the automation team
  • Highly motivated, resilient and a tenacious passion for winning
  • Strong analytical & debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with a SaaS fintech startup preferred
  • Mortgage capital markets experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML in test automation preferred
