We are seeking a skilled product leader to seize a remarkable opportunity and elevate our strategy and product offerings in China. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of business operations and the ability to collaborate closely with the China GTM team as well as the global Product and Engineering teams. Responsibilities:
The role of Senior Product Director requires a strategic mindset and the ability to handle complex challenges, while also paying attention to details.
The responsibility of this position includes:
• Developing and executing the product strategy in alignment with the company's vision and goals
• Leading and inspiring a team of product managers, collaborating with various departments to deliver high-quality products
• Conducting market research and customer interviews while defining product requirements based on customer needs and business objectives
• Driving product innovation and differentiation
• Analyzing data to make data-driven decisions
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and hiring and training top-notch product team
• Prioritizing the product roadmap, translating requirements into product specifications, optimizing feature launch impact
• Driving user success through analytics and performance tracking and making strategic recommendations
• Collaborate closely with engineering, marketing and business, and other teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and customer-centricity within the product organization
Requirements:
• Develop and manage the product roadmap. Engage with sales and marketing stakeholders as well as customers on a continuous basis. Continually prioritize the roadmap based on customer value, business impact, and R&D estimates
• Work closely with engineering on defining and executing product specifications (PRDs) based on requirements
• Utilize go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and KPI measurement to optimize the impact of feature launches
• Drive user success on the product - Define analytics and performance tracking for onboarding and user success, and optimize using iterative testing
• Competitive Analysis - Monitor the competitive landscape, industry trends, and market dynamics, identify opportunities for differentiation, make strategic recommendations, and work with marketing on competitive differentiation materials
• Build an A+ team - Hire and train an industry-leading product group consisting of product, design, and content professionals working with optimized processes
Basic Qualifications:
• +8 years experience in product leadership roles in tech companies and managing Product teams
• Experience building digital consumer products
• Experience in people management and scaling teams, leading global and cross-functional initiatives
• Strong leadership skills including day-to-day management, recruiting, building, coaching, providing guidance, and inspiring others
• Strong data analysis skills including financial modeling and pricing experience
• Demonstrated capacity for understanding and developing both short-term and long-term product strategy
• Demonstrated success in driving results in collaborative, cross-functional environments with little instruction or oversight
• Demonstrated success in bringing new offers to market
• Excellent presentation skills with a strong ability to present to senior-level executives
• Strong internal customer focus with a desire to learn all aspects of the business
• High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills
• Team player and positive attitude, eager to do more and help, view challenging situations as opportunities, and never gives up
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication in English & Chinese and excellent interpersonal skills
• Willing to be based in Shanghai and travel as needed
