The role
This role will be working with the Merchant Risk Monitoring team. The team is responsible for our risk monitoring tooling, allowing us to identify fraudulent, or behaviour that is not compliant with our financial regulators rules. The team takes architectural ownership of the constantly evolving risk landscape, delivering best-in-class solutions for internal risk controls.
You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders in Fraud, Compliance and Operations. Your team will contribute to various codebases across the whole product, we are responsible for the integrations with external risk management tools (ThreatMetrix), company registries (Companies House), transaction monitoring, the customer dashboard etc. The team has already demonstrated a significant impact, saving GoCardless numerous hours through productivity enhancements and reducing risk and fraud exposure by millions.
We primarily use: Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, BigQuery and numerous Google Cloud Platform components.
However, we are open to candidates with experience in other stacks who have a strong motivation to learn and work with ours.

Salary range: €5,333 - €8,000 gross monthly
Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
