The role

As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in designing systems and capabilities that manage risk processes and deliver risk controls. You will ensure risk management processes are implemented in a thorough and consistent manner, and that risk controls are actionable and effective. You will also inventory our risk processes and controls, define risk data and tooling requirements, and support the technical implementation of risk processes.

  • Ensure risk controls are actionable and effective.
  • Inventory risk management processes, their component parts, and interactions with each other, as well as with other processes across the company.
  • Define risk data and tooling requirements to meet the requirements of key stakeholders across risk management.
  • Support the technical implementation of risk processes in collaboration with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that could impact the organisation's risk profile.

What excites us

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the fintech industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficient in risk management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to audiences outside risk management.
  • Flawless command of English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be naturally curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and highly self motivated.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards is a plus.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python and Javascript is a plus.
