Our digital rental application offers a safe and seamless way to apply and get approved for your next home. We specialize in developing software and services for property managers nationwide, empowering them to deliver exceptional service to renters, while evaluating applications with unmatched speed and precision.
The Team
The design team at Findigs sets vision, strategy, and creates an amazing end-to-end experience for our users. We’re a small, high-functioning group and we’re excited to expand our writing team with this role.

The Role
At Findigs, writing plays a crucial role in simplifying renting for all of our users. Writers here are product thinkers, creative problem solvers, and strategic collaborators, whose perspective is highly valued as part of the design organization.
On the day-to-day, you’ll find clear and creative ways to distill complex messages, crafting words that resonate with both a wide consumer audience—renters across the US—and our B2B customers: property managers. You'll help unify our brand voice and standards, drive consistent messaging, and push the quality of written content across the end-to-end experience.
This role offers the flexibility to work from our NY office (hybrid) or remotely.

Where you’ll make an impact:

  • Evolve the writing practice at Findigs, touching everything from brand voice and standards, to UX writing and copy across the end-to-end experience
  • Learn through experimentation within a large problem space, applying best practices and by taking smart risks
  • Unify the customer experience: shape users’ first impression of Findigs and seamlessly carry our brand voice through the customer journey
  • Create simple, elegant and engaging communication to engage our community of renters and property managers, with systematic and scalable rigor
  • Bring writing craft to everything you do. Continue to hone your craft in a supportive, hands-on environment with a bias for action and a low meeting culture
  • Partner closely with product designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure coherent voice, consistent messaging, and appropriate tone across the user journey
  • Collaborate with go-to-market to write and refine copy for email marketing, product landing pages, and event promotion
  • Think deeply about the craft of writing, how it shapes user experiences, and how to keep raising the bar

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Around 3+ years experience writing for startups and/or digital agencies
  • A great portfolio showcasing how you think, work, and execute with craft across a range expressions and contexts
  • A command of copywriting, UX writing, and principles you express in a contemporary context
  • A clear picture of what good looks like, and how to receive and iterate on feedback
  • An enthusiasm for cross-collaboration with designers, others writers, product managers, marketers, and engineers
  • A strong ability to manage your time, work independently, and execute quickly
  • A desire to work proactively to solve problems and bring clarity to ambiguity
  • A knack for distilling complex topics into engaging, useful copy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; verbal communication is as appreciated as the written word
