THE OPPORTUNITY

Build the Agent Builder Ecosystem for Agentic Validation

AI agents are moving into financial services quickly, but the infrastructure required to validate those agents before deployment is still immature. Builders need a credible way to prove that their agents perform reliably, operate within policy, and meet the expectations of banks, fintechs, and regulated buyers. We are building that validation layer.

FairPlay is the AI enablement layer for financial services. From predictive models to autonomous agents, we automate the validation, testing, and optimization required to deploy with confidence. Our Agentic Validation approach, SMEvals, gives AI builders a way to test, validate, and certify their agents against domain-specific standards before deployment.

We are already working with regulated financial-services teams on agentic validation use cases and are seeing demand from agent builders who need credible evidence for bank adoption. We are hiring a Head of Market Development, Builder Ecosystem to help turn that traction into a repeatable growth motion.

This is not a traditional enterprise sales role. It is a market development role with revenue accountability.

This role turns market insight into product direction, ecosystem momentum, and revenue. You will identify the highest-value agentic use cases to guide our validation library roadmap, build the channels and relationships that create repeatable demand, and own the sales cycle that turns that demand into customers.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

This role sits at the intersection of market development, ecosystem building, and commercial execution.

You will do three things especially well:

  1. Identify the highest-value agentic use cases. You will develop a strong point of view on where demand is forming in financial services, which use cases matter most, and which domain-specific validation libraries FairPlay should prioritize next.
  2. Build the channels that create repeatable demand. You will identify and develop the events, partners, communities, founder networks, and ecosystem relationships that can create durable leverage for the business over time.
  3. Own the path from pipeline to revenue. You will source, qualify, progress, and close startups and growth-stage companies building agents for financial services, with support from leadership and technical teams where needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  1. Develop a market-level view of the builder ecosystem for agentic AI in financial services, including emerging use cases, buyer triggers, deployment patterns, and validation needs.
  2. Identify which agent categories and domain-specific evaluation libraries should be prioritized based on real market demand.
  3. Build and manage a pipeline of startups and growth-stage companies deploying agents in financial services.
  4. Own the full commercial cycle for this segment, including sourcing, outreach, qualification, discovery, demos, proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  5. Develop the ecosystem strategy for the segment, including the events, communities, partners, accelerators, founder networks, and technical relationships that can become repeatable sources of demand.
  6. Close design partners and commercial customers across both existing and emerging agent domains.
  7. Represent FairPlay at industry events, AI meetups, accelerator demo days, founder gatherings, and ecosystem touchpoints.
  8. Feed market insight directly into product, pricing, and packaging decisions, helping shape how FairPlay serves the builder ecosystem as the category develops.
  9. Work closely with the COO, CEO, and technical team to refine positioning, prioritize domains, support active deals, and build a repeatable growth motion for the segment.

HOW THIS ROLE SPENDS TIME

30% Market discovery and ecosystem development

30% Sourcing and outbound pipeline generation

25% Running active sales cycles and closing business

15% Feeding insight into product, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy

WHO YOU ARE

  1. You have a strong commercial instinct and are comfortable owning a number. You like building pipeline and closing business.
  2. You are highly market-oriented. You know how to spot where demand is forming, what patterns matter, and which opportunities are worth pursuing.
  3. You likely have 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, though we will consider exceptional candidates with less if they bring standout founder, early-stage operator, AI startup BD, fintech, developer ecosystem, partnerships, or technical GTM experience.
  4. You are comfortable in technical conversations with AI founders, product leaders, AI/ML teams, and CTOs. You do not need to write code, but you do need to understand how agentic systems work, what evaluation means in that context, and why it matters.
  5. You are a builder. You are comfortable creating structure where little exists, testing motions, and learning quickly from the market.
  6. You are high-agency, scrappy, and self-directed. You will be expected to create momentum without a large support organization or a team of SDRs feeding you pipeline.
  7. You are strong in both written and verbal communication. You can write a compelling cold email, run a sharp discovery call, and represent the company well in the market.
  8. You are excited by market creation. You want to help define a category, not just execute a pre-existing playbook.

WHY THIS ROLE

  1. Market timing. Agentic AI is one of the fastest-moving segments in technology, and financial services is one of the highest-stakes environments in which it is being deployed.
  2. Real traction. We are already in market across regulated agentic use cases and are looking for the person who can turn early traction into a scaled ecosystem motion.
  3. Founder-level scope. You will not just run a number. You will define how FairPlay enters and wins the agentic AI market, with a direct line to product, leadership, and the strategy itself.
  4. Direct product influence. Your demand signals will help determine which agent domains, evaluation libraries, workflows, pricing models, and packaging strategies we prioritize next.
  5. True ownership. You will own the builder ecosystem segment. The insight, the pipeline, the relationships, and the results will be yours.
  6. Senior exposure and autonomy. You will work directly with company leadership in a high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment.
  7. Equity in a high-growth AI company. FairPlay sits at the intersection of AI adoption and financial regulation, two of the most consequential markets of the next decade.
