About The Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you'll work directly with Crossmint's most important enterprise clients to design, build, and deploy custom solutions across programmable wallets, tokenization, stablecoin payments, and agentic commerce.

You'll work alongside our Product and Enterprise teams, embedding with clients to understand their goals, prototype solutions, and ship production-ready integrations. Day to day, you'll shift between writing code, designing systems, and advising on technical decisions for organizations like Fortune 500s, fintechs, and governments.

You'll own technical engagements from the first conversation through production, working closely with customers to solve hard problems and spotting chances to turn one-off work into reusable platform features. We expect you to use AI tools to speed up prototyping, debugging, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Client Solutions & Development

  • Build custom integrations and workflows on top of Crossmint's wallets, payments, and tokenization APIs.

  • Create proofs of concept, demos, and scripts that speed up client adoption and inform product direction.

  • Manage deployments, observability, and performance tuning for live Crossmint implementations.

  • Diagnose and fix complex production issues across client infrastructure, Crossmint services, blockchain networks, and third-party providers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Solutions, and Platform Engineering to turn successful deployments into reusable SDKs or APIs.

  • Translate recurring customer challenges into product improvements that reduce custom implementation work over time.

Technical Advisory & Reliability

  • Guide client engineering teams through code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and best-practice documentation.

  • Build tools and scripts, often AI-assisted, that improve deployment speed, diagnostics, and reliability.

  • Uphold white-glove SLAs and drive long-term reliability and optimization of critical enterprise deployments.

About You

You're an engineer who likes building directly with customers. You're comfortable moving between writing code, debugging complex systems, and advising customer engineering teams, and you're at home with ambiguity where every deployment looks different.

  • Designing and debugging REST APIs, authentication flows, and cloud-native applications.

  • Explaining complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and technical stakeholders.

  • Knowing when to prototype quickly and when to build for long-term reliability.

  • Fluent professional English, written and spoken.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Partner Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Solutions Engineer in enterprise SaaS, fintech, or crypto.

  • Interest or hands-on experience in agentic commerce and AI-agent payment frameworks.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and AI copilots that improve developer and delivery efficiency.

  • Experience contributing to Web3 open-source projects or agentic systems.

  • Experience contributing to SDKs, middleware, or infrastructure products used by external developers.
