Accounts Receivable Specialist
The Role
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring insurance premiums are collected accurately and on time, helping protect client coverage and support Coverdash’s financial health. This role exists to reduce policy cancellations due to non-payment, improve cash flow, and deliver a positive payment experience for our clients.
You’ll work closely with Operations, Finance, and Customer teams to follow up on outstanding balances, communicate with clients, and continuously improve billing and collections workflows. This is an ideal role for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-growing insurtech environment.
What You’ll Do
Proactively follow up with clients on outstanding insurance premium payments to ensure timely collection
Send payment reminders and notices via email, phone, and SMS using defined communication workflows
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payment statuses and client communications in internal systems
Respond to client inquiries related to billing, payments, and notices with clear and professional communication
Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues and discrepancies
Monitor accounts to reduce non-payment risk and prevent policy cancellations
Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, follow-up activity, and trends for internal stakeholders
Ensure all billing and collection activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Contribute to improving and refining billing and collections processes as the company scales
Who You Are
Required
1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, customer service, or a similar role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
Comfortable communicating with clients via phone, email and SMS
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
Proactive, dependable, and able to work autonomously
Problem-solver with a customer-focused mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
Nice to Have
Experience with insurance policy billing or premium collection processes
Previous experience in an insurtech, fintech, or startup environment
Background working with U.S.-based clients or teams
Work Environment
Location: Belgrade, Serbia (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM (Belgrade time)

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks.
