The Opportunity

We’re looking for a strategic, relationship-oriented Channel Marketing Manager to lead and expand our partner and referral ecosystem. This role is ideal for a marketer who enjoys building and scaling programs that deliver real revenue impact—from affiliate marketing and customer referrals to co-branded campaigns and joint initiatives with strategic partners.

You’ll work closely with our Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing and Sales teams to develop scalable, repeatable partner programs and drive pipeline across the channel. As Canopy continues to grow within the accounting profession, you’ll help us deepen our presence by cultivating key industry relationships and creating value-aligned marketing plays with influential partners.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Canopy’s customer referral and affiliate marketing programs, including promotion, partner onboarding, and incentive structure.
  • Develop program content and workflows to drive partner engagement and referral volume.
  • Monitor performance metrics and optimize the partner funnel based on data-driven insights.
  • Plan and execute joint marketing campaigns with key partners—including webinars, email, social promotions, and content collaborations.
  • Lead partner education and advocacy efforts- keeping them updated on the latest and greatest Canopy product functionality, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Manage timelines, assets, approvals, and execution for paid and co-marketing efforts.
  • Own the strategy for co-branded content and ensure all campaigns align with brand voice and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers, consultants, and associations to identify new partner opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of accounting industry trends and partner ecosystem developments to inform marketing strategy.
  • Represent Canopy in partner-facing meetings, events, and strategic planning discussions.
  • Coordinate with Event Marketing team on event strategy and participation
  • Create and maintain partner toolkits, pitch decks, and campaign resources that make it easy for partners to market Canopy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success) to ensure partners have what they need to succeed.
  • Deliver regular partner updates and communications that highlight new offerings, promotions, and results.
  • *This role will involve some travel

The skills you’ll need:

  • 7+ years in B2B marketing, ideally including channel, partner, or affiliate marketing.
  • Accounting or fintech industry experience is a plus! If you have spent less than 7 years in B2B marketing but have a strong background in the accounting profession, we still encourage you to apply!
  • Experience successfully managing referral, affiliate, or ambassador programs.
  • Demonstrated success running co-marketing campaigns that drive measurable pipeline or revenue.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple partner campaigns simultaneously while ensuring that we hit all deadlines for relevant projects.
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional, fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Data-oriented mindset—you know how to track, evaluate, and optimize campaign and program performance.
