The Opportunity

We are hiring a Technical Project Manager, Data Migrations to drive the success of our customer onboarding process. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end project management for data migrations, ensuring timelines are met, risks are mitigated, and escalations are handled quickly and effectively. You will partner closely with R&D, Implementation, and the Data Migration team to keep projects moving, resolve blockers, and deliver a seamless customer experience. This is a high-visibility position where your ability to coordinate across departments and manage technical projects will directly impact our clients’ adoption of Canopy. This role reports to the Director of Onboarding.

This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office).

What You’ll Do

  • Own project management for data migration initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Implementation, and the Data Migration team to align on scope, resources, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
  • Lead and coordinate escalations by ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged and aligned.
  • Use project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar) to track milestones, deliverables, and communication.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between teams—translating requirements, priorities, and updates across departments.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical project management, in SaaS, and experience working on data migration projects.
  • Strong experience with project management software and methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including R&D teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and escalation-handling skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.

We know many women do not apply for a job if they don't perfectly fit the description. We want you to apply anyway.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience leading large-scale data migration projects within SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with accounting or financial software platforms.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, or equivalent).
