The Opportunity

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you'll own and optimize the core systems powering our financial and people operations. You will partner with Finance, HR, and IT to design scalable processes, drive automation, and improve system integrations across our G&A tech stack. Your work will strengthen the foundation of our back-office operations to enable efficient, scalable growth for years to come.

This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office).

What You’ll Do

System Ownership & Design

  • Own and manage core G&A systems, including Zuora, Stripe, Rippling, and other key integrations.
  • Design and optimize workflows for billing, subscription management, payroll, benefits, and financial reporting, with a focus on automation, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Act as the systems expert for Finance and People Ops, resolving cross-functional questions and closing process gaps.
  • Drive seamless cross-system integrations and data flows across business systems.
  • Identify and implement AI-powered automation to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead integration and process improvement initiatives across Finance, HR, IT, and Legal to build a compliant, scalable G&A environment.
  • Partner with system owners and business stakeholders to align tools with complete, end-to-end business processes.
  • Communicate solutions and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Operational Efficiency

  • Design and maintain scalable, resilient business system solutions that optimize existing technologies.
  • Build and maintain documentation on system architecture, processes, and integrations.
  • Streamline processes, improve usability, and reduce manual work through automation and AI-driven solutions.
  • Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing or supporting business systems in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company.
  • 5+ years of direct experience with financial systems (Zuora, Stripe, etc) and their integrations with other business platforms.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce, including successfully integrating it with finance processes.
  • Demonstrated success in designing, optimizing, and automating back-office systems and workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and build clean, scalable solutions.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proven ownership and initiative in driving measurable improvements in processes, systems, and data clarity.
  • Bonus: Experience implementing or managing AI-powered automation tools.

Interviewing @ Canopy

Application processes can be a little stressful. Here are the stages of a typical interview process at Canopy:

  • Once your application is received, we will review it and get back to you if we feel like it’s a mutual fit!
  • 20-minute phone call with the People Team
  • 45-60-minute video or in-person interview with the Hiring Manager
  • 1-3 rounds of interviews, depending on the role
  • Final Interview

Interview processes can vary depending on the role. The People Team will give you a role-specific overview of the process during your first phone call.
