The Role

We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to build, test and maintain infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released. This person will help us establish mature, robust processes around deployments, metrics, and alerts, both by helping us leverage modern solutions, and by setting the example for the rest of the team to follow.

  • Experience with the Kubernetes suite: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm

  • Experience with CircleCI or similar CI/CD platforms

  • Experience with supporting Java production services through the use of configuration changes and writing scripts

  • Experience with GCP or similar cloud providers

  • (bonus) Experience with some of the other technologies we use: PagerDuty, Datadog, Postgres

What You'll Be Doing

  • Helping us improve an already robust, modern CI/CD pipeline, with automated rollback, canary deployments, etc

  • Setting standards in terms of defining metrics, SLIs/SLOs, as well as alert responses, from initial page to post-mortem

  • Leveraging Kubernetes to its full potential, using modern tooling like Helm

  • Leading in defining best practices, and imparting them on the team via direct instruction and thorough documentation

  • Building out tooling/libraries to help improve operational reliability and observability

*This is a full-time role which will operate out of Brigit’s New York office, with the option to work remotely for 3 days a week.
