Bounce AI is looking for a Compliance Associate who will identify and mitigate compliance risks, conduct compliance transaction testing reviews, and document results comprehensively. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for testing controls and business activity to ensure that our complaint management system is functioning properly while successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams. This person will be an excellent communicator with the ability to share findings and recommendations effectively and to act as a subject matter expert in compliance auditing and testing.

How You’ll Spend Your Time
- Testing quality assurance, investigating and responding to disputes and complaints.
- Measure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across all business functions.
- Assist stakeholders and management in identifying and containing compliance risk, monitoring, and reporting.
- Utilize standardized work papers and testing programs to document performance of compliance testing reviews.
- Ensure results of monitoring performed are well documented and communicated to management.
- Maintain a current knowledge of applicable consumer protection laws and regulations, business operations and internal Compliance policy and procedures.
- Maintain current up to date knowledge of federal and state laws, municipal regulations (FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA)
- Work with various business partners, including Auditors and other leaders in the Compliance Audit area, to facilitate the completion of risk assessments.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2+ years of compliance & risk management experience in consumer finance, collections, debt recovery or debt settlement industries
- Prior experience responding to consumer disputes and/or regulatory complaints (strongly preferred)
- Experience in auditing, compliance testing or other internal control testing in the financial services industry
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws, municipal regulations (FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA)
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Able to to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and complete work in a timely and organized fashion
- Must be comfortable working in and guiding cross functional teams of subject matter experts
- Experience in auditing, compliance testing or other internal control engagements.
- Very proficient with Excel and Word
- High attention to detail with good problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and manage time effectively
- Superior written and oral communication skills
