Manager of Accounting – Billing and Revenue Operations

Manager of Accounting will be responsible for customer billing, collections, and customer case management. This is a cross-functional role where you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many departments within the organization including Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Senior Leadership. You will be a key member of the Accounting Team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance Operations.


  • Manager of Accounting will oversee a team of professionals responsible for:
  • Customer billing and refund processing
  • Customer cases
  • Cash applications
  • AR collections
  • New customer setup and maintenance

Accounting manager will:

  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to the team under supervision
  • Close revenue within three business days
  • Analyze and explain monthly revenue variances. Lead revenue review meetings
  • Lead finance system implementations and integration of new acquisitions
  • Prepare ad hoc revenue and profitability reports
  • Build partnership with internal/external customers. Serve as SME on all billing and sales contract execution topics
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits
  • Initiate and lead to completion process improvements that increase speed and accuracy of billing, collections, and cash applications
  • Build effective cross-functional relationships with sales, Customer Success and Accounting teams.
  • Prepare financial reports for management upon request including variance analysis
  • Identify areas for process improvements, propose and implement solutions


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required, Master’s preferred
  • 7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years of managerial experience
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Advanced Excel and MS Access skills
  • Knowledge of ERP (NetSuite and Salesforce)
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform research/analysis on complex issues
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Technically savvy with a strong interest / experience working with new software tools and system implementations
  • Problem solver with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills. You know what to say and more importantly, how to say it
  • Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition rules
