About The Role
april is seeking a Senior Marketing Designer to bring our embedded tax products to life across the B2B buyer journey. This role will translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling visual narratives that resonate with wealth, banking, and SMB platforms. Partnering closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success, you’ll lead creative execution - developing high-impact web assets, animated videos, sales enablement materials, and outbound campaign creative. You’ll blend strategic thinking with strong craft to produce scalable, performance-driven design that drives clarity, adoption, and growth. Team members residing within the New York City metropolitan area must maintain a minimum on-site presence of three days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical product concepts and outcomes into simple, persuasive static & animated visuals that resonate with B2B buyers
- Collaborate cross-functionally from concept to execution - creative strategy, storyboarding, design, production, iteration, and delivery
- Develop high-performing web assets, to bring product value props and metrics to life
- Produce crisp, persuasive sales enablement materials including decks, one-pagers and case studies to help teams tell a compelling and consistent story
- Design outbound marketing creative across blog, email and social, including static images, GIFs, animations and short-form video
- Create engaging social media assets (static, GIFs, short clips, quote cards) that build brand clarity and drive action
- Support broader brand needs including swag, event booths, conference signage, partner co-marketing, and other campaign moments
- Optimize and maintain brand design systems, templates, and guidance so the company can scale with consistency and speed
- Iterate and improve creative over time based on product updates, performance insights and feedback loop
- 6 - 8 years of relevant design experience in complex B2B technology, with a strong portfolio showcasing clear / high-impact marketing creative
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts into visual narratives that are simple, confident, and compelling
- Animation/motion design experience with the ability to explain product value, illustrate flows, and highlight value props / proof points (from subtle UI motion to polished clips)
- Demonstrated strength in web design
- Strong presentation and sales storytelling skills with experience designing decks and collateral for B2B sales motions
- Comfort owning projects end-to-end: concepting, executing, iterating, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Clear, proactive communicator who collaborates well and can receive/implement feedback from cross-functional product, customer success and sales teams
- Proficient in Figma, After Effects, Cinema 4D, or equivalents
