About the Role

April is seeking an IT & Security Admin who will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the internal systems that keep our team productive and secure. In this role, you’ll manage day-to-day IT operation from user access and device management to troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. You’ll be a go-to resource for on-demand support, ensuring smooth onboarding experiences, accurate documentation, and clear communication across the organization.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to april’s technical foundation by supporting reliable, well-documented, and user-friendly IT systems. Team members residing within the New York City metropolitan area must maintain a minimum on-site presence of three days per week. This is a temporary, full-time role running from December 2025 to March 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT systems, including user access, hardware, and software troubleshooting (MDM, Azure, Google Workspaces, etc).

• On-demand IT support from internal / external users

• Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures

• Deliver excellent customer service with clear communication and empathy

• Support first-day and last-day onboarding, equipment setup, and user orientation

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in IT positions

• Basic knowledge in IT management (MacOS, Windows, MDM)

• Familiarity and basic experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python)

• Basic networking and networking protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, HTTP(s), RPC)

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
